What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and — on many sites — to track visitors across the web for advertising.
Our approach
We do not use analytics, advertising, profiling or tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, we do not run advertising pixels, and we do not build profiles of visitors or share your browsing data with advertisers.
Browsing our website sets no cookies from us at all. Because we set no non-essential cookies, we do not need to show you a cookie consent banner.
The cookies and similar technologies we do use
Strictly necessary — no consent required
| Provider | Purpose | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare Turnstile | Protects our contact form from automated spam and abuse by checking that a submission comes from a person rather than a bot. It does not track you across websites and is not used for advertising or profiling. | Contact page only |
| WordPress | If you log in to our website (staff only), essential cookies keep you signed in. These are not set for ordinary visitors. | Login area only |
These are exempt from the consent requirement because we could not securely provide the service you asked for without them.
Not cookies, but worth mentioning
Our website loads emoji images from WordPress.org. This makes a request to that server but does not set cookies or identify you.
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting. These are not cookies, and are covered in our Privacy Notice.
How to control cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block all cookies, block third-party cookies only, or delete cookies that are already stored.
- Chrome — Settings › Privacy and security › Third-party cookies
- Edge — Settings › Cookies and site permissions
- Firefox — Settings › Privacy & Security
- Safari — Preferences › Privacy
Blocking all cookies will not stop you using our website, though the contact form’s spam protection may not work correctly, which could prevent you submitting an enquiry.
General guidance is available at ico.org.uk/for-the-public/online/cookies.
